The Gangster Queen Returns: I Am The Power

Mildred's daughter is dying, and Mildred pushes a cleaning cart through the hospital where the girl is being treated. Nobody on the wards knows that the woman in the janitor's uniform used to run the Scorpions, or that the money behind the hospital and behind the insurance company covering its patients came from her. The hospital's doctors and the insurance company's claims manager make an arrangement between them. The drug that is keeping the girl alive will be auctioned to whichever rich buyer bids highest, and the fund that was set aside to pay for her treatment will be emptied on the way. Mildred goes back to the Scorpions and takes up her old seat at the head of it, to get the drug back and to make the hospital and the insurer answer for what they did.
