The richest family in Erington is the Devlins, and Bruce Devlin is the heir. He buys a seaside resort. Alexia Rowan is already working there when he does, and she has no idea the new owner is him. The night before her engagement she found out her fiancé was cheating, and her family were more interested in what the match would bring them than in her, so she left both behind. On the way out she spent one night with Bruce. By the time she is working at the resort she is pregnant with his child. She took the job to prove she could stand on her own two feet.
