Synopsis

Three women of the imperial house are widowed by a single battle at the frontier, and a young woman in the same household loses her father and her elder brother in it. With the court in crisis, the sixth prince, Alex Larson, who is written off as useless and has no standing of his own, stands up and says he will take responsibility. He goes to war against the faction behind the defeat. He turns out to be clever, and he uses that rather than force, dismantling the plots against him one at a time. The three widows end up travelling with him.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
