Avery Rogers found out that her sister had been with her boyfriend. Around the same time a company moved on the farm her father built, and the head of that company sent his heir, Tyler Sinclair, to get the land signed over. Avery and Tyler fought from the first meeting. Avery started keeping Tyler around where her ex could see it. Tyler went on working the acquisition, and what he meant to do with it stayed unclear to her. At a cookout in town he made a public move to keep the farm in her hands and against the takeover his own side had set up. He went at her sister as well over what she had done.
