Oops, I Snagged That Fox's Heart

Natalia's uncle and his family want her dead. They push her off a cliff, and at the bottom, close to death, she is picked up by a nine-tailed fox named Kieran. Once he has saved her, he kills her himself. She comes back to life, and the whole sequence repeats until she has died at his hands three times. After the third death Natalia has had enough. She throws herself at Kieran and kisses him, and in doing it she swallows his inner core by accident. His powers pass to her, and with them her fate changes. She takes a look at his face and at what he can do and decides that this is the protector she is going to hold on to. From then on she spends her days working her charms on a thousand-year-old fox who is naive about such things, while using the strength she took from him to go after her uncle and take back the family fortune.
