A husband who has been caught cheating can still make trouble after the marriage ends. This one wants his former wife to suffer, and he has help from people who envy her and would like to see her brought down. The former wife is Kate. Soon after the affair comes out, Kate goes to what she believes is a counseling session. The man she meets there is Chris, a young painter, and a mix-up over who each of them is ends with the two of them spending the night together. In the morning she learns two things about him. He is CH Skywalker, the art prodigy whose identity has been kept a mystery, and he is the son of Linda, Kate's oldest friend. Kate and Chris go on seeing each other. Her ex-husband and the people helping him work at bringing the affair into the open, where it would cost her both her reputation and her friendship with Linda.
