I Peaked After the Breakup

Jiang Yihuai ends his six-year relationship with Su Yimian while holding his new girlfriend, and offers a large sum to close it. Su Yimian takes the money and leaves at once, without an argument. Jiang Yihuai is certain she will be back within days, as she always has been. He does not believe she will give up the life he has been paying for. Su Yimian re-enrols instead in the physics degree she dropped for him, gets into the master's programme and becomes the top student at the university, with a paper in Nature to her name. One of the professors there, who is also the heir to a business family, begins to take an interest in her. Jiang Yihuai comes to his senses some way into all this, and by then Su Yimian's life has been arranged without him.
