His Hardest Goodbye

She is twenty-seven and has been with him for three years. He is a playboy who does as he likes, and what they have is an arrangement more than a romance. She wanted his body and the excitement of something new, and what he got out of it was a woman who let him do as he pleased and did not make scenes. He has never stopped flirting with other women, and between the flirting he goes cold on her and stops speaking. Three years of that has worn her down. Her mother has started pressing her to marry, and a branch office back in her hometown has offered her a manager's post. She decides to end the relationship.
