Mason Sharp grew up with no money, and the other children in his class made sure he knew it. For years he took it. When people talked about him or laughed at him he backed off, kept quiet and let it go. Later he happened to save a man's life and was given a sum of money for it. He put the money into a clothing factory, Pinnacle Garments, and ran it with his uncle. The factory grew until it was the biggest garment manufacturer in the county, which made Mason the best off of anyone he had been at school with. Thea Ivins had been the girl he looked at and never approached since they were young. She began taking an interest in him once the factory was doing well.
