Too Late to Love Me, Mafia King

Chloe Bennett worked as a nurse. On her wedding day a sex video of her was leaked and passed around the Upper East Side set. Her fiancé called the wedding off in front of the guests and married her best friend Amelia in her place. Enzo Lunati, who heads an Italian mafia organisation on the West Coast, came to Chloe the same day and proposed to her in front of the same crowd. She accepted. Three years into the marriage Chloe was pregnant. During the pregnancy she found out that Enzo had ordered the leak. Enzo believed, wrongly, that Amelia had once saved his life. The leak and the switch at the altar had been arranged so that Amelia could marry into the fiancé's family. Chloe's own marriage had been arranged so that she would carry a child as a surrogate, and Amelia had been part of that arrangement as well. Chloe left Enzo, joined forces with Owen, and began working to bring Enzo down. Over the years that followed, and in more than one country, the five of them, Chloe, Enzo, Owen, Amelia and Liam, went through further marriages, affairs and kidnappings, with the families and the mafia on opposing sides and an inheritance and the pregnancy both in dispute. Chloe and Owen, through all of it, were trying to get free of the rest. A reunion that brought all five together put the affairs on the table, along with who had betrayed whom.
