Isaac Merrill believes the kidney that saved his life after an accident came from Olivia Hale. It came from Emma Sterling, who gave it and said nothing, and Olivia took the credit for it while working to frame Emma and keep her from the truth. On the eighth anniversary of Isaac and Emma's relationship, Isaac kisses Olivia in front of a crowd and leaves Emma standing there. Emma walks away from the eight years and marries Gavin Whitaker, the match arranged between the two families. Isaac learns where the kidney came from after that and falls apart. Olivia, once she is exposed, tries a kidnapping and fails at it. At a charity auction Isaac decides to give the kidney back. He spends a long stretch trying to win Emma back, through misunderstandings, revenge, betrayals and trouble around the wedding.
