The Guard Who Tutored a Champion

Riverford High has a final-year class that no teacher wants. The students are the children of rich families and they do as they please. The school's security guard is Gavin Lister, who took the job under a false identity after leaving Wall Street, where he had been one of the biggest names in finance. Nobody at Riverford knows this. An accident puts him in front of that class as its homeroom teacher. Within a short time the students are obeying him, and their scores go from the bottom of the school to the top. The English teacher falls for him, and so do other women on the staff. Then financiers of the sort Gavin used to face on Wall Street come after the school, and the trouble they bring is larger than anything the class gave him.
