The Girl Who Returned

Isabella grew up in a family where the boys came first, and she and her sister got the worse of everything because of it. She got into Harvard and the family made her drop out. Her mother helped her get away, and she finished her studies elsewhere and became the head of a company. Word reaches her that the family has arranged to marry her younger sister off to a man to pay for her brother's wedding. She goes back to the village, where nobody knows what she does now, and stops the wedding. She then turns to the customs there that let a family trade its daughters, and to the other women living under them.
