Reprieved Heart

Commoner girl Mira, in order to save her kidnapped mother, was brought before the Empire's Commander Cassian on charges of stealing a noble's gemstone. She was originally to be thrown into a snake pit, but her death sentence was postponed after she revived a dying dragon egg, making her the egg's exclusive caretaker. Hiding the secret of having been saved in her childhood, she probed him step by step. The cold and stern Cassian, amid their push-and-pull confrontations, gradually found himself distracted from his years-long obsession with the queen. Between suspicion and testing, undercurrents surged between the two, and a tangled affair interwoven with conspiracy and true feelings began to unfold.
