Song of Sunbird

Sanxingdui had priests who read omens as the voice of Heaven, and a curse that reaches forward in time. Kinsley Shaw arrives in China and begins dreaming of the place. She learns she is bound to the curse. One dream shows the end of the settlement, and the ancestors pull her into the past so that the disaster can be avoided. Zhai Xiaoyuan, who speaks for Heaven, cannot read the signs of the disasters, and Kinsley's arrival splits the priesthood over whether she is deliverance or ruin. The water source dries up. Kinsley, Zhai Xiaoyuan and the King set out to find new land. They reach a place of abundance, guarded by the divine Shenshou, who sets them a test.
