The Hidden Genius Worker

Song Mingyuan's family owns a factory, and it is handed to Li Weidong to run. Li Weidong takes it and starts working out how to squeeze Song Mingyuan out of it. Song Mingyuan has done what his father told him to do. He learned the trade quietly and passed the exam for the Level 9 Fitter certificate under a false name, a grade few people hold. Once Li Weidong has left him with almost nothing, Zhao Jing takes him in, and he goes onto the factory floor as an apprentice. A sample run goes wrong and he rescues it, cutting the mould to no tolerance at all, and the factory director takes note of him. Li Weidong, who wants him gone, puts one obstacle after another in his way, and each one is cleared without much trouble. He and Zhao Jing get through it side by side, and the two of them grow close.
