The Secret Swordmaster

The No.1 Escort Agency is taking Simon Durant to the capital, where he is to be beheaded. Durant is a court minister and a traitor. The Shadow sect has announced that it will take him from the convoy on the road, and every escort on the job has sworn on their lives to get him there and see the sentence carried out for the sake of the people. Nonus does the odd jobs at the agency and draws no attention from anyone. He is the retired Swordmaster. Gavin Roland, the chief escort, had picked him out as a man of far more ability than his work suggested and asked him to guard the convoy without the rest of the escorts knowing.
