The Truth in the Name of Love

James Zook holds his mother, Nora Ward, responsible for his father's death and for driving his girlfriend to kill herself, and he wants her to pay for both. He builds a helmet that reads memories so that he can take his revenge on her. When he reads her memory, he finds that Nora had shouldered gambling debts on her own, put money into his start-up, and donated bone marrow to save his life. James is filled with remorse. Nora then falls seriously ill, and it is because of him. He comes to see what he has done, and his mind gives way under it. Nora does not leave his side while he is in that state.
