Synopsis

Duncan, a master chef, arrives in another world and is put to work as a kitchen hand tending fires at the estate of the Marquis of Farhaven. The other kitchen staff push him around. A banquet for guests goes wrong and Duncan salvages it using leftover ingredients. The Marchioness praises the food, and Duncan is allowed to take up a knife again. Food merchants cut off his supply of expensive ingredients. He cooks lotus root, cabbage and crab instead, and takes the Golden Key at the Hundred Flavors Meet. He is released from bond service and opens an eating house of his own.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
