A Zombie Girl’s Journey Home

The apocalypse arrived, and Anya, who has severe social anxiety, infected herself on purpose so she would not have to survive it or talk to anyone. She kept her human consciousness instead, which made her an odd sort of zombie with no fighting ability at all. She packed a bag and started south to look for her family. She kept stopping to help survivors along the way, because that is how she is. On the road she meets Zane, a human who kills without hesitating, Leon, another zombie whose combat ability is enormous, and Mia, a virologist who is out of her mind. She also picks up a zombie dog. The three of them and the dog travel together, looking for Anya's family and for the truth about where the virus came from.
