My CEO Ex Regrets It All

In the Wen family the old master is dying, and there is no one ready to run the house. Willa is his heir but cannot yet stand on her own or hold the Wen Group together. Before he goes he asks a favor of a man outside the family. That man is Holden, a financial genius at the top of investment banking. Years earlier the old man had done Holden's parents a great kindness. Holden agrees to look after Willa for two years, until she can take charge, as repayment of that debt. He moves into the Wen household as its son-in-law. Over the two years he builds the Wen Group up piece by piece and takes care of Willa down to the smallest matters. The family looks down on him the whole time. Willa herself, at the prodding of a rival of Holden's, humiliates him at every turn. Holden keeps calm and does not answer any of it. When the two years are up the arrangement ends. A conglomerate at the top of the market has been asking for him, and he accepts its invitation and leaves the Wen house.
