Olympic Dream: The Unwanted Champion

The first pressure comes from home, where money is short and family troubles keep getting in the way. It lands on Selena, who has wanted to go to the Olympics since she was a child and whose only support is her grandmother's quiet presence. She keeps at it long enough for Elias, the coach of the national team, to notice her and bring her into the squad. Inside the team she runs into the same treatment again: she is benched, pushed aside and humiliated, and she stays with it anyway. In the final she is sent on at last, with her grandmother, her country and her coach counting on her, and the Great Xia women's volleyball team wins. Soon after the title she has to return to her village to face a judgment there.
