General in Shadows: Homecoming

2025·92 Eps

Synopsis

Daxia called for soldiers with fighting on every border, and Cameron enlisted while his wife was pregnant. He beat the enemy in the field, but there were spies who would have gone after his family if they knew whose family it was, so he took a false name and cut off contact with home entirely. He rose through the ranks that way. His wife had a hard time of it for years before things got better for her, and it was after that that Cameron came back.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

You Are My Antidote

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
