Mysterious Murderer

Lily's parents were killed in her hometown and the scene was arranged to look like a suicide. She was about to start medical school. A frantic call from her father brought her back, and she found them. She would not accept the ruling and started looking into it herself, with her childhood friend Ethan and a detective named Sarah Lawson. What they turned up ran back through the town: the bookshop, an abandoned manor, and an old case that had destroyed another family. A newcomer named Jake attached himself to Lily, paying attention to her and positioning himself as her protector. His behavior turned possessive. The closer she got to the killer, the more the trail pointed at the man who wanted to marry her.
