Synopsis

Caitlin needs money for her mother's medical treatment. To get it she fakes an affair, lets her boyfriend Francis believe she has been unfaithful, and ends the relationship. Years later Francis has inherited a large fortune and the two meet again. He still believes the affair was real, and he treats her with contempt every time he sees her. Caitlin is pregnant by then and does not tell him. She puts up with the way he treats her because she still loves him. On top of that there is pressure from family, a crisis at work, and a plot taking shape against the two of them.
