Synopsis

The tea plantation has money going missing at the top of it, and the Xiao family has firm views about who belongs in the family. Su Nuan works on that plantation and raises her daughter Su Xiaoman there. Seven years before, she was an orphan who met Xiao Jingyu, who runs the Xiao Group, by chance, and Xiaoman came out of that meeting. Years pass before he goes looking and finds the two of them at the plantation. They spend time around each other and feelings come up. The corruption on the plantation and his family's objections are both in the way of it.

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
