No More Ms. Nice Landlord!

Jack Everett got the tenants of Neighborly Haven organized. The rent was far under what the place was worth, the canteen cost them almost nothing and the gym was free, and after long enough they took all of it as owed to them. The landlord was Claire Holden. She had put everything she had into the building to keep a promise to the woman who raised her at the orphanage, and she filled it with people the city had no other room for. Around the neighborhood she was the angel landlord. The tenants went after her together, with some of the complaints made up, and the thing ended in court. Claire went bankrupt over it and came out of the case with a name as a landlord with no heart. The hearings and settlements also turned up the illegal business Jack Everett and Austin Brooks had going. Claire emptied Neighborly Haven out. She stopped handing anything over for free, and she turned the building into the hotel she had wanted to run in the first place. A number of the tenants who had signed against her asked to come back.
