WiFi Off, Building Panic

Nina Jin, mother of a high school senior, is obsessed with feng shui. She thinks the neighbor’s WiFi has “bad energy” that’ll mess up her kid’s college entrance exam. So she stirs up the whole building and demands that Amelia Harper—8 months pregnant and working from home online—shut off her WiFi. Amelia refuses. Then the neighbors mob her door, yelling and harassing her. With no other choice, Amelia has her younger brother Theo Harper take over the apartment and keep streaming online. Once the neighbors kill the WiFi, the whole building’s internet goes down. Everyone panics—and the story kicks off a neighbor war, counterattack, and rights-defense saga.
