Slient Tears, Twisted Fate

Sherry Jones lost her voice as a child and was separated from her mother, Marilyn Quincy, in an accident. Fifteen years later Marilyn was running a company worth billions. Sherry was living on very little and working to keep a boyfriend who took what she earned. The boyfriend attached himself to a wealthy woman and staged a scene in which Sherry appeared to be caught with another man, then told people she had been unfaithful. Sherry could not speak to answer it, and the wealthy woman humiliated her in front of a crowd. Marilyn came in at that point with her adopted son, Zach. Sherry had helped her once before. Marilyn stepped in and got her out of it. Afterwards Marilyn noticed something Sherry had in common with the daughter she had lost and followed her, and came on Sherry's father handing her over as a wife to a man who could not look after himself, in return for money.
