Cinderella's Sweet Revenge

Ellie Sanchez wanted to be free of her own family. They lived off whatever she could earn and had no intention of letting her go. She got herself to university, and then she married the richest man in the capital. He died on the wedding night without warning and his estate passed to her. His son Nicholas Clark came back from abroad and decided she had killed his father, and he set about finding proof of it. That meant staying near her, in the same house, and over those weeks he learned what her family had done to her. The case he was building fell apart. Her stepmother's side then arrived and told her to sign the property over. She had nobody to call on while it went on.
