The Scandal They Tried to Hide

Olivia is the adopted daughter of a family with holdings on both sides of the law in the city. She walks in on her stepmother Mandy with Peter, who manages the house. Their version reaches everyone first, and it is Olivia who is said to have made a pass at Peter. On a night of heavy rain a car hits her. In the time she has left she learns that her older sister Cheryl is Mandy and Peter's daughter. She opens her eyes two hours before the accusation, with all of it still ahead of her. Her father Victor cannot stand disloyalty and takes his wife's word for most things, and Olivia uses both facts. She rubs chili oil into Mandy's clothes. She works Peter into room 888 of a hotel, then brings Victor and reporters to the door. The affair comes out with the cameras there. Peter saved Victor's life years ago and is let off on the strength of it. Mandy injures herself, keeps her position in the house, and starts on the next move.
