Nice to Meet Father

Emily Warren wanted to be with her father again, and for twelve years that was out of reach. She had been parted from him when she was small so that he could go back to the Warren family and be treated for cancer, and she had been sent to live with her uncle. Her uncle's family put her to work as a servant, mistreated her, and otherwise ignored her, and she said nothing about any of it to anyone. She studied on her own and came first in the national college entrance examination. Her father had recovered by then and was running a company as its chief executive, and he had been looking for her the whole time. When the exam results were published, details in them matched what he knew of his missing daughter, and he went after the lead. Her uncle's family had a plan of their own. They intended to send their daughter to university under Emily's name and to pass that daughter off as the lost child.
