That Secret Night, I Had the King’s Twins

Wendy, a witch, spends one night with Prince Usher and the two are separated afterward. Neither knows she is carrying twins. She raises one daughter, Nicky, and becomes known as a Master Healer. Usher raises the other, Cardi, and takes the throne as king. Six years pass. Wendy and Usher meet again in the course of their work, neither aware that the other's daughter is their own child's twin. Nicky and Cardi cross paths separately and notice the resemblance between them before the adults do. The two girls begin arranging meetings between the Healer and the King, engineering excuses for the four of them to be in the same place. Wendy and Usher start spending time together again without either disclosing what happened six years earlier or what it produced. The girls keep pushing the two adults closer while keeping the secret of their own relation to each other from both parents.
