When Love Runs Out

On their wedding day Elena Fisher gives Caleb Murphy a box of candy. The agreement that comes with it is that each time she takes one, whatever she has done, he forgives her and the argument ends there. Caleb had turned down an international firm to join Elena's small practice, and the work he did there built it into one of the best-known offices in the field. Elena's childhood friend comes back into her life. The misunderstandings start, and each time there is a fight Elena reaches for the box rather than settle anything. The candy runs out. Caleb files for divorce and leaves without saying much, and goes back to the career he had put aside.
