No Net Ensnares Me

Serena Scott was ten years old when she watched her mother go off the side of a building. Her mother survived the fall and did not wake up again. Serena stopped speaking after that day and has not spoken since. Eight years later she finds account books her father and her stepmother kept between them, and the entries do not match the account of the fall she was given. She studies business on her own without telling either of them. She takes what she has found to Martin Hale, and between them they establish that her mother's technology was taken and is now being used by the company her father runs. A takeover follows, to be settled at a shareholders' meeting, and her mother wakes from the coma before it is held.
