She Swore by Sword and Time

A young man and his mother have a plan. He is to be trained by a woman who knows the sword, take the sword manual passed down in her family, use her strength to win the martial tournament, and then marry the daughter of the Zhao family, the first martial house in the Nine Provinces. He has told the woman he will marry her once he wins. The woman is Sylvia Ashford. She was the first woman to be named martial master in her dynasty, she refused the post of Grand General, and she crossed several hundred years into this world without knowing how. She met the young man by chance and made a martial genius of him, and along the way the two of them fell in love. One day she finds out what he and his mother are planning. She lets them think she has swallowed it. "If I could put you above the sky, I can drop you back into hell." She dresses as a man, enters the tournament under that cover, and the final puts her across from him.
