The Gilded Betrayal

Lynn Crawford is the daughter of a conglomerate family, but she takes a waitressing job and keeps her background to herself, partly to buy Ryan Shaw a present with money she earned. Ryan's family believes she is poor and works to break the two of them apart. Before he leaves to study abroad, Ryan promises he will marry her once he finishes. Over the four years he is gone, Lynn builds a biopharmaceutical company of her own and intends to hand it to him. At the banquet held to welcome him back, Ryan is engaged to another woman, and the bride is not Lynn. She stops giving ground and begins to hit back.
