Synopsis
Victor Flint and Nora Shepherd are married and keep their money apart, each paying their own way. He is an executive doing well for himself, and she is expecting a child. She rides a crowded subway while heavily pregnant and eats instant noodles, and he looks on coldly. When he goes with her to a prenatal checkup he bills her for the hours. Nora writes each expense down in an account book, together with what he did and what he owes. On the day the baby is born Victor receives a settlement bill from her for 1.78 million.
