Eternal Peace

The beggar Green Swift takes in off the streets of Rivertown is Owen Jeanes, crown prince of Aurelia, and nobody in the town knows it, Owen included. He has not been in his right mind for some time. He was separated from his father, Emperor Victor Magnus, as a small child. Thirteen years later he was leading the War God's Temple and holding the frontier when he was framed. He lost his reason over it and drifted, begging, as far as Rivertown, where Green Swift found him. Aaron Cheshire, the magistrate's son, wants Green Swift and considers the madman in her care to be in the way. He builds a false charge against Owen and has him sentenced to death. Owen is on the block and the sword is raised when Emperor Victor Magnus reaches Rivertown. He stops the execution and starts on the people who framed his son.
