Too late to Love you Right

A mate bond can be forced on two people in this world, tying them together whether either of them wants it. Selina was bound to Lucas that way. She is an assassin and he runs a mafia family, and she spent thirteen years guarding him while he hated her for the bond that had put her there. Sophia, who grew up with Lucas, came back. Lucas gave her Selina's place and let her punish Selina, and he watched it happen. Selina was pregnant at the time. She went after a medicine that would break the bond, since breaking it was what Lucas wanted, and getting it nearly cost her life. Sophia took the credit for the medicine, and his affection with it. The night before the wedding Lucas found out where the medicine had come from, and that Selina was carrying his child.
