Su Ding is a cultivator of the highest rank on Mount Kunlun. A sealed retreat goes wrong and he wakes in Dragon City, in the body of a young man everyone there knows as the local doormat, a man the Gu family has pushed around for years and now wants to use as a good-luck bridegroom in an arranged marriage. When they tell him to marry in, he answers that the bride price should be paid first. When a relative complains about his temper and tells him to change, he says that if theirs is so good, they can put up with it. The family expects a tool. Relatives who look down on him, rich sons who mock him, and the men sent to deal with him all find out otherwise.
