Kung Fu Knight: Urban Hunt

Lucas Chu was due to marry the next day. His fiancée, Emily Turner, vanished from the village overnight with nothing left behind. Some people said she had run off to avoid the wedding, others said traffickers had taken her, and every rumour pointed toward the same place: the western province of Westville, a city with a bad reputation and worse policing. Lucas had trained in martial arts since he was a boy, and he left home alone to look for her. In Westville he first went to men from his own village who had settled there, and they lied to him, took what money he had, and then arranged an ambush he barely walked away from. What he learned from that was that Emily really had been taken, and that the people who took her were part of an organized ring with buyers, holding houses, and paid protection. Lucas found others in the city with reasons of their own to move against the ring and worked with them, following the chain from the low men who did the grabbing upward. He fought his way through the network's holding sites while trying to reach his fiancée before she was moved again, and the people he pulled out of those rooms were not only her.
