Double Monkey Kings

Sun Wukong wants his own name back. Five hundred years ago the Buddha took his side against him and sealed him into the lowest hell, and the six-eared macaque who put him there has been sitting in his place as a Buddha ever since, with everyone in heaven accepting it. He returns with a new golden body under the name Kong Wu. He finds Flower Fruit Mountain in ruins and his own people made servants. He goes after the demons of Chichi, takes back his staff, and then walks into the assembly of the gods to show the false monkey for what he is. Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing come in with him, and Yang Jian and Nezha after them. Together they go up the sacred mountain against the Buddha and his forces. What he means to do at the end of it is cut his ties to Buddhism and go looking for Tang Sanzang, who has been reborn somewhere, so the two of them can finish the journey they started.
