The Billionaire in the Slum

Monica is the chairwoman of the Highton Group. In an earthquake years ago her father carried his son out and left her, and the family counted her among the dead. She lived. The district her father lives in sits inside a redevelopment her company is running. Residents there are being cleared out of their homes by force by the branch office handling the work. Monica is grabbed outside her own building. After that she and her assistant go into the district dressed as ordinary people. Hired men are working the streets. Her younger brother is beaten by them while he is out getting medicine for their father. Her assistant breaks it up and the two of them follow him back to the house, where the sick man in the back room is the father who left her. He has an asthma attack while she is there. Her name comes out in front of the Sanders family, who are behind the clearances, and the Sanders son takes her and holds her. She goes into a river and comes out of it with no memory of any of it. A household in Hewan village takes her in, and she stays there while her memory comes back in pieces. The men working for the Sanders family come through the village more than once. Her father, her brother and her assistant are looking for her.
