Ex You Can't Afford

Serena Reed spent five years making herself small for Liam Frost, and then saw him kissing Ava Vale in the rain. She had surgery to remove her memories of him and cut every connection. Liam took her resignation for a bargaining move and slapped her in public to shield Ava. He did not know that the Reed family withdrawing its investment was what put his group into crisis, or that Serena was the Reed heiress. By the time he learned who she was and went after her, she was back with Ethan Woods beside her and told him his love was too cheap. Ava is exposed and the Frost group runs out of money.
