Love's Abyss

Ivana Swanson's mother is in hospital and the family debts are past what she can pay. Maria Shepard approaches her with an offer of ten million to seduce her son Justin James, who wants to be a performer, and Ivana takes it. She arranges the encounters and the openings, and Justin falls for her completely. As the two of them get closer, Maria tells her the job is done and orders her to end it. Ivana's mother, who cannot live with what her daughter agreed to, takes her own life. Then Maria tells Ivana the rest: the fire that burned the family house and killed Ivana's father was Maria's doing, and Justin has known about it the whole time. Ivana confronts him and asks for a divorce. Justin will not accept that, and he says he will get justice for her himself.
