Nobody or the Hidden Chairman?

Ryan takes a job on the floor of his own cement plant, and nobody working there knows the new hire owns it. He is the richest man in Riverdale and he grew up in the village the plant was built for, an orphan the neighbours fed. The plant was his way of paying that back. At a ceremony held to honour him, an elder from the village gets hold of him on the roof and tries to take him over the edge, shouting that he is a black-hearted capitalist. The inspection team Ryan sends every year has reported nothing wrong. The regional manager and the plant director have been holding back wages between them and selling off the safety equipment. Men on the line are hurt badly enough to lose the use of their hands and the accidents go into no report. Ryan works his way up from the bottom of the plant gathering evidence, then gives his name and hands the lot of them to the police. He puts the plant right and pays the villagers. The same theft turns up at Vireo Medical, another company in his group, where a manager has been taking the money set aside for staff medical costs. Ryan goes in a second time with investigators. Not long after, at a school reunion, the boys who used to bully him are still at it and the girl he liked then is at the table taking it from them. He says who he is in front of the room, and something starts between the two of them after that.
