Desert Island: Beauties All Want Me

Susan tells the other survivors that Chase murdered his wife. It is the day their divorce goes through, and the cruise ship they are both on goes down, leaving the two of them washed up on an island with strangers who have only her word to go by. She keeps repeating the accusation to make sure nobody will share food or shelter with him. Chase does not bother denying it. He catches fish, gets a fire going, puts up a camp, and within days he is the one everybody has to come to. Quinn, a model, is the first to work out that Susan is lying, and she throws in with him. Gia, a housewife, follows after she takes a risk to pull him out of danger. Mira, born rich and useless at all of this, comes around only after she nearly dies. Susan keeps stealing supplies from the group and setting people against each other, and one of her attempts on Chase ends with her going off a height into deep water. The island itself is wrong in ways none of them can explain. Compasses will not hold. Something screams in the jungle at night, and there are shapes moving under the waves offshore.
