Maximilian works alone on a treatment for pancreatic cancer and gets one that works. He sells it to patients at what it costs him to make, which puts the drug into the hands of people who could not otherwise pay and cuts into the earnings of others. Simon reports him for selling counterfeit medicine and the case goes to court. Kenneth, of Kingsley Pharmaceuticals, wants the formula and works the case from behind, using the prosecution as leverage to force a transfer. Maximilian holds the line, gathers his own evidence of what the drug is and how it was made, and wins the lawsuit. He then transfers the formula through proper channels to SkyGlow Pharmaceuticals and goes back to research on a new drug, while Simon and Kenneth answer for what they did.
