Josh Ramsey was fired and had his annual bonus taken off him for turning up late to work, on a day when he was late because he had stopped to stand up for someone. This was right before the New Year. His parents were pressing him about getting married and his career was finished. A girl came to his door and said she was his daughter. She brought him the ability to look at any object and know what it was worth and where it had come from. He won the lottery with it, and turned up jade that nobody else had noticed. At a matchmaking meeting arranged for him he took apart the woman sitting opposite, who had come in looking down on him, and the woman he actually wanted came round to him.
